Are you Chelan’s #1 Visitor?

Introducing the first annual “#1 Lake Chelan Visitor” contest!  Love spending time relaxing in the beautiful Lake Chelan area? Can’t get enough of long summer days spent on the lake? Cherish your childhood memories spent vacationing here?  Or looking forward to your first trip to Chelan this year?  We love our visitors so much, we want to hear your stories about favorite vacation memories in the Chelan valley.  One lucky visitor will be voted 2008’s #1 Lake Chelan Visitor, winning a 3-day trip to Chelan!  Three runners up will receive $100 in Chelan Chamber bucks, good at participating businesses in Chelan.

Just submit your photo(s) and a written description of your favorite Lake Chelan vacation memories.  You can submit current photos, or photos that you take on this year’s trip!  If you’re one of our frequent visitors, feel free to look back down memory lane and share with us a series of memories or “historic” photos from your albums!

Official Rules

1. Photos must be taken within 30 miles of the shores of Lake Chelan, by visitors who do not reside within this area. 
2. The competition is open to amateurs and professionals.  
3.  Entries may be color or black and white prints/snapshots or high resolution digital scans.
4.  You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright in all photos entered. 
5.  There is no limit to the number of photos that can be submitted. Please include the following details with your submission:
     Your name and e-mail address
     A title for the photo
     A statement describing how this photo represents your favorite Lake Chelan memory.

6.  If you wish for your original photo to be returned, you must provide a stamped, self-addressed return envelope.  Lake Chelan Tourism Promotion Group is not responsible for damage or loss, in the mail or otherwise, to photo submissions.
7.  Judges appointed by the Lake Chelan Tourism Promotion Group will choose the winners. The judges' decision on all matters relating to the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition's judging.
 Must be 18 years or older to win. 
8.  First place and 3 or more runners-up will be chosen, at the judges’ discretion. Winners will be notified via e-mail as soon as judging is completed. Winning and honorable mention photos will be published on the cometothelake.com website. 
9.   First place winners will receive a 3-day stay in Lake Chelan, valued at $500.  Runners up will each receive $100 in Chelan Chamber bucks, good at participating businesses in Chelan. 
10.   Entries once received become the property of the Lake Chelan Tourism Promotion Group.  Photo submission constitutes approval for LCTPG use photo and text submissions for marketing and public relations uses, without compensation or recognition of any kind.  First Place winner must agree to participate in promotional events which may include media interviews and photographs. 
11.  Lake Chelan Tourism Promotion Group reserves the right to change the contest rules without notice 
12.   The deadline for entries in the 2008 contest is August 15, 2008.  Winners will be announced on www.cometothelake.com on September 8, 2008.
